SUMMARY
We are looking for an Apprenticeship Coordinator who will create and maintain the apprenticeship training schedule by coordinating across operating groups and apprenticeship functions. This role supports a predictable training model, communicates schedule requirements and changes, and serves as a resource for questions related to the schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule Development and Coordination
Create, maintain, and communicate the apprenticeship training schedule across trades, operating groups, instructors, training locations, and apprenticeship functions.
Coordinate scheduling inputs and dependencies to align curriculum requirements, instructor availability, facility availability, project needs, and apprentice attendance.
Update the schedule as business needs change and communicate impacts to affected stakeholders.
Identify scheduling conflicts, risks, and constraints and elevate them to the appropriate apprenticeship function for resolution.
Support implementation and ongoing administration of a block-scheduling model.
Schedule Support and Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for apprenticeship training schedule questions.
Communicate upcoming training dates, attendance requirements, schedule changes, and relevant deadlines to operating groups and apprenticeship stakeholders.
Coordinate schedule conflicts, change requests, and exceptions across operating groups, project teams, instructors, and apprentices.
Provide schedule information and observations that inform capacity planning, enrollment decisions, training data management, and reporting owned by other apprenticeship functions.
Build effective working relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
Training Coordination Support
Assist with instructor-led training logistics as needed, including room and technology readiness, materials, attendance support, and communication with instructors and participants.
Support apprenticeship team members responsible for registration, enrollment, prerequisites, pre-work, completion entry, and related training administration.
Help ensure apprentices, instructors, and operating groups have the schedule information needed to prepare for and participate in training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three years of experience coordinating complex schedules, training operations, construction operations, or a related function.
Experience coordinating across multiple teams, stakeholder groups, or locations.
Experience maintaining schedules and communicating changes, conflicts, and requirements.
Experience coordinating meetings, classes, training events, or multi-site logistics.
Construction, apprenticeship, learning and development, or workforce-program experience preferred.
Advanced planning, scheduling, and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and interdependencies.
Ability to gather, organize, and reconcile scheduling inputs from multiple stakeholders.
Strong judgment in identifying scheduling conflicts, communicating impacts, and escalating issues appropriately.
Experience with scheduling tools, learning management systems, or enterprise systems preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
Superior attention to detail and commitment to accurate schedule information.
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to manage schedule changes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Active listening skills and openness to diverse input and feedback.
Ability to travel up to 10%.

The base pay range for this role is $55,400 - $74,800. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
