Senior AI Ops Engineer - ITS

SUMMARY 

Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior AI Ops Engineer - ITS that will be responsible for providing advanced support in all activities related to the development of solutions within our applications architecture; working with other groups to design, document, develop, test, and implement solutions within our applications portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications in collaboration with other team members

  • Collaborates with internal business partners and ITS colleagues to define detailed requirements and system interfaces while assessing value in modification to software provided by vendor versus custom modules.

  • Develops complex software programming applications and modifies/maintains the existing software with limited supervision

  • Lead discussions with analysts, other developers and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and customizations

  • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

  • Participates in creating proof of concept and needs assessment for business need

  • Provides technical expertise to team members and mentors junior team members

  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels 

  • All other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux

  • Expert level experience writing PL/SQL for Oracle EBS or other applications in Oracle or SQL

  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle including experience developing or enhancing documentation and testing methods

  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or equivalent combination of education, experience and area of expertise.

  • Minimum five years of hands-on experience developing software solutions in a team environment

  • Experience with a variety of common software development practices and tools as well as awareness to industry trends

  • Experience with project management methodologies; providing estimates, status and raising issues

  • Experience leading teams through complex technical problems

  • Experience developing with Oracle Forms, Oracle EBS R12 customization, and Oracle workflow development

  • Experience developing with Java, .Net, and other modern development languages

  • Experience preparing technical specifications, designs and architecture deliverables

  • Technical certification related to software development processes and tools (Oracle EBS R12, PL/SQL, Java OCP) preferred

The base pay range for this role is $114,500 - $171,800. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.

 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
