SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to provide support with development and execution of proposals, presentations, and other marketing deliverables, while contributing to the overall marketing and communications efforts for the operating group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal and Marketing Support (under the direction of marketing and business development leadership)
Prepare proposal materials, including gathering, verifying, writing, and formatting response content; design proposal response
Ensure that various aspects of proposals (technical scope, project experience, resumes, etc.) and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Assemble, write, edit, and design marketing and communications collateral supporting sales, business development, and project pursuit (e.g., presentations, brochures, articles, news releases, electronic/print mailings, social media posts, newsletters, and special event materials)
Internal Communications Planning and Execution
Assist with driving engagement at all levels of the operating group with both on- and off-site team members, including communications, events, and other tasks as assigned
Develop and design steady flow of content aligned with the strategic engagement plan (core messaging, email, web, video, etc.)
Contribute to strategic business planning efforts and other internal content creation as requested
Serve as contributor to internal learning systems and create graphical representations of data (Salesforce.com, market research platforms, etc.)
Collect and update project profiles
Event Coordination and Trade Shows
Organize and plan activities for trade shows, conferences, and speaking opportunities
Support special event planning and coordination, including groundbreaking, topping off, and ribbon cutting events
Support in operating group annual meeting planning
Support internal event execution for operating group meetings, engagement activities, and other team-focused communications events.
Brand Awareness and Content Creation
Adhere to company brand voice and style; leverage company best practices, templates, tools, and other available resources
Support marketing leadership in developing customer-facing stories that translate project experience, team strengths, and market insights into clear messaging for proposals, presentations, and external communications.
Effectively build relationships and work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
Minimum of three years of experience in communications, marketing or sales enablement including content creation in a business setting
Prior experience in a B2B services industry preferred
Detail-oriented and able to organize and prioritize multiple assignments within a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Strong writing and editing skills
Good understanding of social media and digital mediums
Proven execution of internal communications campaigns and results associated
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Excellent creative, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to be flexible as needed
Excellent judgment
Active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback

The base pay range for this role is $68,700 MIN - $92,800 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
