Construction to Begin on New AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott Adjacent to Las Vegas Convention Center
The dual brand hotel will feature 397 guest rooms and panoramic views from its rooftop amenity deck
LAS VEGAS, NV — June 4, 2026 — Mortenson Development (MDI) is moving forward with a new dualbrand AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center, advancing a hospitality project in one of the country’s most active convention and business travel corridors. MDI has closed on the site located at 2989 Paradise Road and its construction financing, and will break ground on June 15th. The hotel’s completion is anticipated in Summer 2028.
Pairing AC Hotel and Residence Inn under one roof, the hotel is strategically located adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 233,330-square-foot development will feature 397 guest rooms, including 237 AC Hotel rooms and 160 Residence Inn suites, offering a mix of short-stay and extended-stay accommodations designed to serve convention attendees, business travelers, long-stay guests and leisure visitors.

Designed by PK Architects of Tempe, Arizona, with interiors by Denver-based Wild Muse Interiors, the property is intended to blend contemporary hospitality with extended-stay flexibility. Planned amenities include:
- Flexible meeting and event space tailored to small and mid-sized gatherings
- A state-of-the-art fitness center
- Coffee bar and retail market
- Dedicated Residence Inn lounge and complimentary breakfast area
- A rooftop pool deck with patio, bar, and AC Hotel lounge offering views of the Las Vegas skyline
The dual-brand concept combines the European-inspired design of AC Hotels with the residential-style comfort and extended-stay functionality of Residence Inn, providing guests with flexibility and choice all within a single integrated property.
The hotel’s adjacency to the Las Vegas Convention Center positions it as a key hospitality asset supporting one of the nation’s largest and busiest event destinations, which hosts millions of visitors annually. Its central location along Paradise Road also provides convenient access to the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding entertainment and business hubs.
