Energy Companies Reach Deal on Indiana Wind Farm

Two energy companies have completed a 15-year power purchase agreement for renewable energy from a Jay County wind farm. Colorado-based Scout Clean Energy and Exelon-owned Constellation have agreed to a purchase of 80 percent of the renewable energy and capacity generated by the Bitter Ridge Wind Farm.

Scout received final approvals in September to install capacity and to use up to 52 wind turbines on 10,000 acres in Jay County. Scout has signed purchase orders for the turbines and also entered into a balance of plant construction agreement with Mortenson.
