What does it mean to be designed and built for LEED Gold ceritfication?
This design-build project included the delivery of a large 5-building complex for a special operations forces (SOF) support battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The project scope included the design and construction of two headquarters/company operations buildings, a vehicle maintenance building with expansive parking for heavy tactical vehicles, a boat maintenance building, a storage building for hazardous and flammable materials, and large parking areas for personally owned staff vehicles. The project was designed and built to USGBC LEED Gold criteria and complies with Department of Defense Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) requirements.
