Fort Riley
Vehicle Maintenance And Company Operations Facility / Fort RileyKS
This $45 million design-build project involved the delivery of two company operations facilities (COF) and four vehicle maintenance facilities (VMF), along with associated sitework, storage buildings, and utilities. The COFs provide offices, equipment and arms storage, training rooms, and deployment areas for the Army companies assigned to those buildings. The VMFs are pre-engineered metal buildings housing areas for heavy vehicle maintenance and repair to support the Army companies occupying the adjacent COFs. VMFs include maintenance bays, repair bench areas, supply storage, waste storage, industrial exhaust, overhead cranes, and hardstand parking. Receiving an "Outstanding" contractor rating from the federal government, this project was designed and built to USGBC LEED Silver criteria and complies with Department of Defense Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) requirements.
