The Ireland Army Health Clinic at Fort Knox was a new 150,000 SF medical facility designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s Army community. Replacing many of the functions of the original 1950s-era Ireland Army Community Hospital, the clinic reflects the Army’s modern healthcare strategy by focusing on outpatient and specialty services in a state-of-the-art setting.
The facility offers comprehensive care, including primary and specialty medicine, physical therapy, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and behavioral health. Inpatient and emergency services are provided by nearby hospitals, enabling the clinic to deliver high-quality outpatient care in an environment tailored to patients and families.
Guided by patient-centered design, the clinic promotes healing and whole-person care through natural light, calming spaces, and a family-friendly atmosphere. For staff, it provides a safe, efficient, and flexible work environment that can adapt to future medical needs.
Certified LEED Gold, the Ireland Army Health Clinic serves more than 26,000 soldiers, civilian employees, and family members—setting a new standard for military healthcare at Fort Knox.
