Jesse Erickson
Quality Director | Seattle
With over two decades of experience, Jesse Erickson brings unmatched expertise and dedication to his role as Seattle Office Quality Director. His journey in the construction industry began when he worked as a laborer during his summers while attending Central Washington University. After graduating, he joined Mortenson, where he worked on a project for Alaska Airlines. As he progressed in his career, he became a concrete foreman on large-scale projects, including the 40-story AMLI Arc Residential Tower and the LOTT Wastewater Facility. More recently, he shifted his focus to quality and has since played pivotal roles on some of the region’s most complex and high-profile projects, including the transformative Climate Pledge Arena.
In 2024, Jesse transitioned into a leadership role overseeing the quality program across the Seattle Office. He has embraced this responsibility with humility and strength, exemplifying servant leadership and a deep commitment to mentoring and training project teams. Jesse sets the tone for quality on every jobsite, ensuring that work meets both client expectations and Mortenson’s standards. Jesse’s passion for quality is rooted in extensive planning and a proactive approach that minimizes rework, boosts morale, and keeps teams moving forward with pride. His field background gives him a unique perspective on delivering excellence in complex environments. He also leads the Seattle Lean Committee, driving rapid improvement initiatives that reduce installation time, improve quality, and foster a safer and more organized work environment.
He credits the team members he works with every day as the biggest influence on his career and is especially proud of Mortenson’s progress in recognizing and respecting the contributions of craft workers and forepersons. Outside of work, Jesse enjoys fishing and camping with his family. Whether ice fishing in Eastern Washington or chasing salmon and halibut on the coast, he finds joy in teaching his two young kids the value of time spent on the water.
