Building Community: How Our Team in Eagle Mountain is Making an Impact

In Eagle Mountain, our Mortenson team is setting the standard for true partnership. One of our proudest collaborations is our ongoing partnership supporting the Red Cross. As Anita Kay, the local Red Cross Blood Drive representative shared, “We deeply value our relationship with Mortenson Construction. Their partnership plays a critical role in helping us maintain a steady blood supply, ensuring patients in our community get the life-saving care they need. Donating blood isn’t just a donation, it’s a lifeline and the good people at Mortenson understand and step up to make a difference!”

Since 2023, our team has donated almost 450 units of blood, including 125 first-time donations across nine drives. Every unit collected has the potential to save multiple lives, and our commitment ensures Utah’s needs are met first.

Giving back to the community is at the heart of everything we do. Recently, our Eagle Mountain project reached a significant safety milestone—2 million work hours with zero injuries. This accomplishment demonstrates a culture of care that extends beyond the jobsite and benefits everyone involved. Recognition from the AGC Safety Award further underscores a focus on the well-being of those who live and work alongside us.

Supporting local causes, from fundraising for Primary Children’s Hospital to participating in the Gold Star Clay Shoot supporting American Military Family, helps strengthen connections with neighbors and contributes to a healthier, more vibrant community. These shared efforts reflect a collective commitment to making a positive impact where it matters most.

At Mortenson, building great projects goes hand in hand with building a stronger, healthier community. The ongoing dedication to safety, service, and partnership is about making a difference for Utah—one project and one act of kindness at a time.
