Bryon has worked on some of the most complex building projects within the greater Seattle area, maintaining an outstanding track record of planning, coordinating, and managing projects to deliver successful results while ensuring engagement in the design process.
In his current role as the Seattle Office's Field Operations Manager, Byron is responsible for our project's safety, supervision and coordination of tradespeople and subcontractors, and supervision of Mortenson personnel in the performance of concrete, masonry, carpentry and materials installation, materials expediting, site usage, layout, and general direction of work. He actively fosters a culture of teamwork and trust while prioritizing safety and efficiency in the construction process.
Before becoming our Field Operations Manager, Bryon gained over 30 years of experience in field operations. He has worked as a superintendent, managing project schedules, coordinating trade partners, and collaborating with architects and engineers. Bryon has led high-profile construction projects in the greater Seattle area, including sports venues, office towers, hotels, and healthcare facilities. He emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficiency, creating a collaborative environment where team members feel valued. Bryon's clear communication and strategic planning have been crucial in managing complex projects. His leadership fosters a culture of trust, motivating his teams to exceed expectations.
As indicated by his Associate DBIA credentials, Bryon has a proven track record of contributing to an integrated team to ensure project success and timely delivery that exceeds the customers' quality expectations. His clear and consistent communication style earned him a reputation as a respected leader for subcontractors and a trusted partner to owners.
Bryon enjoys a well-done project with opportunities to work with people passionate about building. With over three decades in the industry, he feels blessed with experience and knowledge and enjoys sharing lessons learned with his project teams.
Outside of work, Bryon enjoys spending time with his wife of 32 years, his kids, and his grandkids. Together, they have a good time camping and riding quads in the dunes.
