776 MW of Solar Energy Completed in California

This was big solar before big solar. Solar Star I and II were groundbreaking projects that redefined the common thinking on what solar could provide to the grid. The project spanned 3,200 acres across two counties (Kern and Los Angeles) for a total of 776 MWdc.

Mortenson installed the foundations, trackers, an aqueduct crossing, stormwater protection and executed civil site work — while overseeing all other parties active on site.
