FEATURED PROJECT

Washington University Kaiser Borsari Hall

Bellingham, WA

Western Washington University is delivering the state's first publicly funded zero-energy academic building on a campus. The project sets new standards across the industry and the state of Washington. Featuring mass timber, the state-of-the-art building offers a "living laboratory approach" and biophilic design.

Mortenson partnered closely with Western Washington University to bring their vision to life, ensuring the facility met the International Living Future Institute’s Zero Carbon and Zero Energy Certification goals while staying within budget and maintaining the educational program space.
