DENVER, CO – June 22, 2026 – Mortenson’s Denver office hosted its 19th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, raising $150,000 in support of its 2026 Community Impact Partner, Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation. This event brought together more than 200 golfers across 50 teams, reflecting strong industry engagement and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for children and families of the region.

“We are committed to making a lasting impact in the communities where we live and work,” said Brian Fitzpatrick, Vice President and General Manager of Mortenson Denver. “Supporting the health and well-being of children and families is fundamental to that commitment. Through this partnership and the collective effort of our team and industry partners, we are helping expand access to critical care and strengthen resources that improve outcomes for children across our region.”

Each year Mortenson’s Denver office partners with a local nonprofit to serve as its Community Impact Partner. This practice focuses on charitable giving and volunteer efforts around one sustained partnership to drive meaningful, measurable impact.

Founded in 1978, the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation is dedicated exclusively to advancing the mission of Children’s Hospital Colorado, the region’s only nonprofit pediatric hospital, originally founded in 1908. The Foundation raises philanthropic support to help fund lifesaving care, breakthrough research, education, advocacy, and family support services for children across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

“Mortenson’s generosity reflects the power of business leaders stepping forward for kids in our community,” said Sharon McMeel, Chief Development Officer at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation. “Support from corporate donors like Mortenson helps ensure that children and families across Colorado have access to the care, resources, and hope they need today and for generations to come.”

Mortenson team members and summer interns played key roles in the event supporting registration, on-course activities, and hospitality. Their coordination and professionalism ensured a high-quality experience for participants while reinforcing Mortenson’s culture of service and hands-on leadership development.

The tournament was supported by 50 sponsors, with Sturgeon Electric, ESCO Construction, and Montgomery Electric serving as leading contributors. Their support, alongside dozens of sponsors, participants, and volunteers, was critical in achieving this year’s fundraising milestone. Funds raised will directly support programs and services that advance pediatric care and improve health outcomes for children across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
